Review of A River Runs Through It (1992) by Joseph G — 08 Jun 2010
A River Runs Through It tells the story of 2 brothers and their minister father who love fly fishing. The movie is set in 1930's Montana. The 2 brothers are completely different. Craig Sheffer portrays the conservative brother who becomes a teacher.
He falls in love with a girl and marries. Brad Pitt portrays the wild brother always in trouble gambling, drinking and fighting. Tom Skerritt portrays the minister father. This is a beautiful film. The scenery in this film is breathtaking.
The film moves along slowly but is never boring. There's a great story and great acting. The film was directed and is narrated by Robert Redford. It's a nice old fashioned film that I recommend everyone to see.
