Review of A Quiet Place (2016) by Jeff P — 21 Sep 2018
Disappointing after all the gushing reviewers' hoopla. 40+ minutes of silent boredom punctuated by the occasional "terror" caused more by shattering sound effects than true terror. Question.
So how can an alien creature be so successful while having only ONE sense: hearing? It stands directly in front of the mother and doesn't know she's there. Seriously? a creature with only ONE sense? How does it get around? Know where it's going? Granted it is science fiction, but it should have some semblance of believability.
And why do aliens always look like some deformed giant arachnid/insect? John Krasinski is once again showing us that he is over-rated as a director, writer, and otherwise movie creator. He peaked in "The Office.
" Downward ever since. Can't believe how the professional critics were fooled by this.
