This is a really pretty movie. The sunsets and snowstorms look fantastic on 65mm. And the core idea of the mystery is cool, thanks to the billion-or-so year old novel. But everything here is structured so poorly.
The things that should take time to flesh themselves out are glossed over, and the things that take time aren't worth it. I enjoyed a lot of 'Murder on the Orient Express' as surface level dumb fun, but this story and this cast deserve so much better.
