Review of A Quiet Place (2016) by Evan F — 01 Sep 2018

Ok, I get it, it was suspenseful and unique because of The paucity of actually spoken dialogue. It was more about what wasn't said than what was said. I get it. And it was a fairly enjoyable movie.

But the plethora of things that just made no sense at all really ruined it for me. I started taking notes about the poor decisions , things that made no sense, and outright ridiculous plot holes about 15 minutes in.

I won't post the list as it's too full of spoilers, but let's just say that this family, and the few humans in the movie in general, made really dumb choices more akin to a B slasher movie than something of this genre.
