Review of A Place in the Sun (1951) by Anna N — 01 Nov 2007
A beautiful love story with a interesting update on the Dreiser novel. Has alot to say about the price of ambition. Monty Clift is mesmerizing to watch-a natural actor way ahead of his time. Pair him with Shelley Winters, one the screen's greatest natural female actresses and you have audience gold.
Their scenes are the best. The scene with Liz and Monty on the balcony is one of the most incredible love scenes ever filmed.
