Review of A Place in the Sun (1951) by Rick Q — 07 Aug 2012
When it comes to cinematic assholes of the 1950's, george eastman (played by montgomery clift) is way up on the list. clift convincingly plays a man who gets a girl (shelley winters), who he doesn't really care about pregnant, all the while falling in love with someone else (elizabeth taylor), so he decides to kill the one he knocked up.
this is a very well written film with damn fine performances from all the actors named.
