Review of A Personal Journey with Martin Scorsese Through American Movies (1995) by Patrick B — 18 Jun 2011
A really good documentary, I did not see all of it, but then again I watched some of it in cinema class and it is almost four hours long. I plan on watching the whole thing however eventually. It was really fantastic to look at the pioneers, these guys like Griffith are the people that we owe a lot to because without them I would have never found my passion.
Scorsese is a great narrator and it was very interesting to hear how he got involved and when he was first introduced to film. I hope to be doing what he has been doing so well for the last, I don't know, he's been doing it for a very long time.
He is one of the greatest, I don't like all of his movies, but I have nothing but respect for the man.
