Review of A Passage to India (1984) by Kadambari C — 01 Jan 2008
A beautiful movie that reflects colonial mindset to queasy perfection. Somethings just never left "me": Mrs. Moore wandering the ruins @ night, Adela being attacked by monkeys in some ruins, the caves and the echoing shouts for "Mrs.
Moore"; a very strange looking Alec Guinness and a very earnest Victor Banerjee...Something about this movie makes me love it and hate it at the same time.
