Review of A Passage to India (1984) by Simon D — 20 Mar 2010
Excellent film. Really had everything you could want in a film, the locations, the messages, suspense, history. My only criticisms were that what actually happened in the cave was left a little unclear, we sort of have to make that up ourselves, and why, in a film putting a racial message across, would you use Alec Guinness as an indian guru instead of a real Indian actor? that was a bit odd for me.
