Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988) by Jeremy K — 04 Apr 2009
It seems like they turned a bit of a 180 from Part 3 with this one. Some of the characters were pretty lame; Tuesday Knight is a poor replacement for Patricia Arquette. The movie itself is pretty darn cheesy, but it gets creative as well, although perhaps one--no, make that two--of the most disturbing deaths ever.
The pacing is a little strange as well. Sometimes it feels like the film is moving too fast. However, Lisa Wilcox gives a very heartfelt performance as Alice, and shows a very fiery passion as the movie winds down.
Still, the movie is pretty cheesy with a questionable script, but it's still not too bad.
