Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988) by Eric H — 02 Jan 2014
Word has it that Wes Craven intended for 3 to be the series finale. But an open ending and successful Box Office earnings changed all that. The makers of 4 had a tough act to follow and all things considered, they did pretty well.
By this point, the scares were lacking. This film makes up for that with style, likable characters and some cool ideas that are well executed. Just 80s horror at its awesomeness.
