Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) by Linda U — 29 Apr 2012
Pretty inventive sequel in my opinion. While not the original Nightmare On Elm Street, this is easily my second favorite behind it. Also, the idea of this film kept me interested throughout, as it decided to focus on a different topic than the previous films: several teenagers inside a mental hospital.
I thought, for me, it was a brilliant idea to focus on the idea of how the mentally-ill teenagers reside in the hospital, because of the same nightmares they have. Therefore, as this deals with more of a group setting than the previous two films, I was intrigued by how they were able to get inside of the other peoples dreams, some of the time, and try to fight off Freddy. However, they show the death scenes in a rather dreamy sort of way, instead of just a typical death which was unique.
The acting was really good in my opinion, and so is the music.
