No, no, no, no, and NO. I have to point out that computer generated effects don't hold their own to the original effects of the orginal movie i.e. when Kruger pushes his face through the wall above the bed.
I want to say the movie wasn't "horrible" but maybe if I was much younger and never saw the original I could say that in good faith. But yeah...it was crap.
