Review of A Night to Remember (1958) by Mary B — 05 Jun 2007
This is a beautiful movie. It's heavily researched, true to the story--aside from the fact that Titanic didn't sink in one piece, as shown--given it was made before the CGI and the Titanic was even found.
It's not about the action and adventure but the shear amount of distruction and loss of life in one evening. No mushy love story here. (Okay, a little scene with a newlywed couple talking to Mr. Andrews that will remind you of Cameron's Titanic).
