Review of A Night to Remember (1958) by Ben W — 17 Dec 2007
This is a movie not unlike that of paul greengrass's united 93. it doesnt focus very intently on any particular characters too closely, but there are enough recognizable storylines to keep one interested, and it focuses on a factual recounting of the events that transpired that night rather than a mythologized version like the barbara stanwyck version, much less the james cameron version.
this film also further illustrates that the fact that cameron has not a creative bone in his body because all of the elements from his movie that were actually not half bad were actually ripped from this.
special effects were quite impeccable for this film though, and it was engaging but not alltogether amazing at every corner.
