Review of A Night to Remember (1958) by Ross F — 29 Aug 2008
A good recollection of the events surrounding the Titanic's sinking. It follows the facts very closely and just shows how much 'Titanic' (1997) depended on a love story rather than the actual sinking of the ship to tell the story.
However, this film feels as though it concentrated too much on the actual rescue of the people on board. Look away for a second and you'll probably miss the ship hitting the iceberg, which was the real pivotal point in the film.
