Review of A Night to Remember (1958) by Brad B — 09 Nov 2008
This is the British made film version of the famous Walter Lord book based on eye witness accounts of that fated liner and is a fine movie. It's black and white and doesn't have the amazingly spectacular effects of the Cameron effort but it works every bit as well if not better! It actually comes off feeling more like a documentary than a drama!
As primitive as it may look I'm willing to bet it still has the power to hold your attention and touch the viewer. Definitely worth picking up if you ever see it in a sale bin. This is a gem of a movie!
