Review of A Mighty Heart (2007) by Daniella D — 07 Aug 2008

This was very good, but also very sad. I was impressed by Angelina Jolie's performance. Usually she does the same Angelina Jolie character (Tomb Raider, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Girl Interrupted, Wanted...), but here I felt like I was watching Mariane who happened to be played by Angelina Jolie.

The story itself is upsetting and it gave me nightmares. It does not have graphic bloody scenes, but it does reveal what happened to Daniel Pearl, which is upsetting enough, especially when seen through the eyes of those who loved him most.
