Review of A Mighty Heart (2007) by Miranda P — 29 Jul 2008

I can't understand why Angelina Jolie didn't win an Oscar for her role here, sure she got a Golden Globe but I think she really deserved an Oscar for this. She's completely different. Her accent is completly different and so is her hair and the colour of her skin.

Now I know the last two things have nothing to do with her acting but she is completly transformed into a different person. The scene when Mariane finds out Daniel has been killed is breath taking. It made the hairs on my neck stand up and literally took my breath away (no other film has done that to me before).

You can just feel the sorrow that Mariane must of felt when the man she loved was completly taken from her. Also, thankfully the film is authentic. The reason why I haven't given this film 5 stars is because I think the editing and the chemistry could of been better.
