Review of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) by Richard L — 24 Sep 2015
Although it seems to meander after its first act, Ana Lily Amirpour's directional debut in A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night builds a strong case for her directing career as it is a beautifully stylish film drawn up with a gorgeous backstory in the town of Bad City.
It is mainly a character-driven piece about loneliness, hopeless romanticism, and the evil that lurks the streets in a land with no law. If this film can't keep you glued to the screen then the soundtrack will surely keep you up listening.
