Starkly punkish yet broodingly amorous, this black and white Persian-language romantic horror about a skateboarding chador-wearing Iranian vampire hunting for misogynic men and falls in love with a boy in a Dracula costume could be interpreted as a protest against female oppression in Iran and a romantic optimism for its younger generations.
