Review of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) by Matt B — 02 Oct 2015
A Girl Walks Home at Night is almost TOO stylish. Every frame is like right out of a graphic novel. Director Ana Lily Amirpour's debut, credited as the "first Iranian Vampire Western ever made", is gorgeous, sexy, strange, and unbelievably original.
It's a vampire horror film, a spaghetti western, a feminist tale, and a romance all in one. Like WOW. One thing's for sure: I can't wait for Amirpour's next movie!
