Review of A Fish Called Wanda (1988) by Frank V — 24 Feb 2014
A Fish Called Wanda goes jarringly back and forth between effective funny comedy and flatness. I found Jamie Lee Curtis to be dislikable the entire film, while others like John Cleese and Kevin Kline jump back and forth between funny and really annoying, the one bright spot of the film is Michael Palin as an animal lover with a stutter, he remained funny and likable the whole of the film, The Film is well paced, but still overstays it's welcome, especially when it's presenting a romance that feel 100% shoehorned and faked.
When the film is funny, it's really funny, but when it's flat it's pretty darn flat. 3/5.
