Review of A Few Good Men (1992) by Blackity B — 15 Sep 2009
A hell of a ridiculous movie. Good at building up tension, and Cruise and Nicholson were very strong, but it just seemed laughable that they expected the audience to swallow all the fake turns. I mean, Cruise pretty much explained exactly what was going to happen in the third act, and lo and behold it happened.
The marines in charge were also treated as lifeforms barely more intelligent than vegetables. Entertaining enough to pass for the good parts, but deeply flawed.
