Review of A Face in the Crowd (1957) by Justin L — 25 Jan 2009
Yet another testament to the brilliance of Elia Kazan. He turns the most simple narrative devices and characters into nearly prophetic glimpses into the future. In this case, the future of entertainment.
Andy Griffith is the stand out here as far as the cast is concerned but everyone is great. The entire film feels timeless and may be even more relevant now than when it was originally released.
