Review of A Dog's Way Home (2019) by Mark S — 10 Jan 2019
"A Dog's Way Home" is a charming film with a lot of heart -- and a full puppy kisses. And there's nothing wrong with that. The theater tonight was packed, as if this was a summer blockbuster.
For the audience, all clearly dog lovers, this was the same as summer blockbuster. Based on the novel of the same name, the movie follows Bella on her quest to get back to her family. Some trying times, of course, happen to Bella and those she encounters along the way, but it's never too scary for children.
The packed theater I was in had every age group, and there were lots of laughs all the way through -- dogs do silly things (and in this case, thanks to a voice over, say funny things, too). Of course, there are a few tears, too, but this is an uplifting film.
And you will definitely come home and hug your dog. And that's not a bad thing at all. Go see "A Dog's Way Home." Start this new year out right. You won't be disappointed.
