Review of A Dog's Purpose (2017) by Dustie M — 30 Jan 2017
Made me cry. My 11 yr old granddaughter enjoyed it too. Don't see any problem with tossing a dog into the water and making him swim a bit. I do it to my dogs all the time when we're at the lake and they are being big babies.
They swim back to the shore, shake off and are just fine ...the better for their dunking. I don't see this as animal abuse when thousands upon thousands of dogs are allowed to live chained all their lives (as in the movie) to live miserable lives.
I don't see people all up in arms (as they should be) about this...and yet this charming movie putting man's best friend and the love they are capable if giving get's attacked for making a German Shepard swim against his will in turbulent waters under controlled circumstances (when Shepard are champion swimmers).
