I'm biased because I read the book. But this was a good movie. It was cute, funny, serious, with good messages. Now, they left a lot of good stuff out from the book, but the movie can only be so long.
I think if you dind't read the book, you wouldn't really get it. It could've been better. But really, it was good. What they added was sweet and very funny. It's a movie about dogs: How can it be bad?
