Review of A Decade Under the Influence (2003) by Keaton P — 06 Dec 2009
To glorify a decade is in a shallow manor to resurrect a king. That being said, let the sons of today see the kings of yesterday. In layman's terms, we need to rethink/examine past cinema if we are ever going to take it where it once had the potential to end up.
We must view with starry eyes, much like these kings once did. Once again we must delve into the magic of story and imagination if we are ever to solidate our own mark in the final storybook of time. Get your head out of your ass and learn to live.
Drop your cynicism by the curbside, it is nothing but a handicap to an otherwise functioning mind. The apathy of our generation is where we often times comfort in the complexities of reality, and this is a dangerous place to linger, for sharks swim by our ankles.
I am tired of the stand point of the onlooking philosopher. For it is thought without action that leads to corruption by way of those who choose to take it, and if you don't believe me simple take a walk out of your silver plated bubble.
Without a societal compass, the idiot mass as we know it will follow the man with the largest testicles. For evidence look to your face in the halogen like glow of the boob tube.
