Review of A Day at the Races (1937) by Ryan V — 05 Feb 2012
Just as funny as their best, (but not actually one of their best) A Day At The Races is typical Marx brilliance. It's a silly, zany, mindlessly good time, just like their other films so don't expect anything new.
The only gripe I had is that the musical numbers (despite being great) are a lot longer and feel even more out of place than usual, but I guess if that never bothered you, you won't mind. It's hilarious and fun, hey, it's Marx bros, if you know what you're in for, you don't need to think twice about watching this.
