The stunning design in scenery and locations unfortunately succumb to cartoonish characters, from the lead to extra. A Shutter Island knock off that still manages to subject its one compelling female character to the male gaze, this film leaves on an open end that no one should care to know the answer to.
And it horribly fails to meet the Bechdal standards, if you were wondering.
