Review of A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) by Michael G — 28 Dec 2008
The best Christmas special ever! Anyone (probably a kid) watching it for the first time probably won't be impressed as most of A Charlie Brown Christmas's charm comes from the memories of being a kid and watching it right before Christmas--Dolly Madison commercials and all.
Even though this is mostly based in nostalgia (at least for me) it's the peak of the animation and score (provided by Vince Guaraldi) for the Peanuts. It's still a great piece of animation with a great message.
Way ahead of it's time and very necessary holiday viewing.
