Review of A Bucket of Blood (1959) by Ben B — 26 Jan 2008
I was pleasantly surprised by this charming, dark film. The acting is just great. Not at all what I'd expect from a B-movie of this title. The script is full of all this great social commentary about the "trendy" art society.
And it really does manage to be scary. not in the gory slasher film way, but in an uneasy, disturbing one. Es[ecially towards the end, when we as the audience start to predict doom for the more likeable characters.
This is just a gem, and I'm so thrilled to have stumbled upon it.:).
