Review of A Boy and His Dog (1975) by Ian M — 29 Nov 2007
I just watched this movie and my only response is...ha,wow,yeah...I just don't know what to say. I love Blood the sarcastic, cynical, lemrick producing pooch, and Vic/Albert is your all around tough, just trying to take care of me, guy. This film does have a nice sort of charm about it--you know, for a postapocayptic flick--and you can't help but get attatched to the innocence of Vic's personality of just wanting to get by, fed, and laid! However things do get a little loopy when Vic follows a female to an underground society that capture Vic for his...well you'll see. But the ending! Wow! I'm half laughing and half in disgust and laughing more b/c I know I shouldn't be laughing! HA! It's definitely a surprise and I bet your first thought is going to be 'wow, just wow'...you won't know what else to think!
(I'm still laughing on the inside).
