Review of A Boy and His Dog (1975) by Kate T — 12 Dec 2009
A post apocalyptic wasteland, a cynical and sarcastic protagonist and a wise, talking, mentor-like dog all come together to make A Boy and His Dog the best 70's B-Movie I've ever seen. Chalk full of overused, persistently enjoyable ideas of what a "day after tomorrow" world is going to look like, this film kept me smiling thanks to its cheesy action, dark humor and creative voice over.
The over exaggeration of the underground utopia where people dressed like farmers take male baby making liquids was...interesting, and other than that, the only thing I really can relate this film to is a cross between Bioshock and Fallout 3.
