Social commentary or not, you couldn't make this kind of tongue-in-cheek misogynistic movie these days without riling up a bajillion people with more political correctness than brains. The end redeemed a lot of its flaws.
Also, this is probably the only thing Don Johnson's ever touched that truly didn't suck.
