Review of 8MM (1999) by Sara C — 03 Nov 2008
8mm was a truly great movie in every way. It follows Cage as a private investigator through the underworld of black market porn as he searches for the answers to a snuff film on an 8mm film reel that portrays the death of a young girl.
Gritty atmosphere, excellent acting, very intense and climatic. Probably one of Cage's best films i've ever seen next to 'Leaving Las Vegas', 'The Wicker Man', 'Rumble Fish', 'Lord of War' and 'Face Off'.
8mm is definitely worth watching at least once.
