Re-watch. The great man is drawn into the sleazy L.A. underworld on the hunt for the makers of a snuff tape. Decent thriller with both Cage and Phoenix on fine form. No need for a spoiler warning but on second viewing (many years later) I was shocked to discover that Machine was 'True Blood's' Sheriff Andy Bellefleur.
