An inspirational film with characters that have the advantage of feeling raw and authentic. Eminem gives a surprisingly excellent performance and the film boasts one of the most satisfying endings to any movie I’ve ever seen.

And possibly the best end credits song of all time. The rap battle scenes are brilliantly written and keep you on your toes. If you thought this would be an ego project for Eminem with no substance (like I did) give it a chance and you’ll probably be pleasantly surprised.

It’s also really funny. Just thought I’d throw that in there. And no, I didn’t give this an 8 because the movie is called 8 mile.
