8 mile is an intense and emotional look at the rough start of eminem's career as a rapper. However, while some of the scenes in 8 mile are emotionally stimulating, other scenes just feel almost unnecessary.
The film does have kind of a slow pace until the final rap scenes, but the rap battles are fantastic. Some of them make you want to stand up and cheer.
