Review of '71 (2014) by Ron N — 22 Mar 2015
'71 is a great movie; suspenseful, action packed, great acting. The basic story is a British soldier is separated from his platoon during a riot in Belfast. His struggle to survive the night is the basic story.
The conflict between the Catholic and Protestant factions is difficult to follow. Who is with the IRA? Who is a traitor? Who is simply trying to help an injured man? Do the Irish really talk with that heavy an accent? I could have used some subtitles.
Overall, it is a great movie and well worth seeing...
