Review of 54 (1998) by Hamo A — 25 Aug 2005
[color=#ffffff]Studio 54 may have been a happenin' place in the '70s, but it was inhabited by people who were both ridiculously shallow and howlingly dull. Instead of focusing on the club's inner-workings and its troubled owner (played in a knockout supporting performance by Mike Myers), the film reflects on the horribly uninteresting lives of the club's pretty bartenders and stage performers, all of whom change their moral convictions at the convenience of the screenplay.
