Review of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007) by Lisa F — 09 Aug 2008

I must admit, I gave up on this film after about 15 minutes. I'd heard the director on NPR a few months back, so I knew the general premise. But something about the director being too coy to reveal what the hell was going on so irked the hell out of me that I couldn't continue on.

Too bad, because I was *very* curious about life in 1987 Romania, and this film seemed to do a remarkable job of capturing that. Peter did continue watching it, and he reports that the plot does eventually become clear.

However, if you do decide to watch it, be prepared for a real downer.
