Review of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007) by Nadeem M — 09 Feb 2009
This is a dark depiction of two friends arranging an illegal abortion, and their desperation is captured perfectly, as is the extent to which one of them has to go. There are some interesting shots and angles used, as well as several long takes, with no edits, which are a triumph for both the actors and director.
Rarely will you see a dinner scene shot the way it is here. The use of hand-held cameras add to the film the same realism that the dialogue does. If you want to see a film that explores the harshness of abortion, without holding anything back, then look no further.
