Review of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007) by Lee M — 04 Dec 2010
There's no way I could say this is a bad movies, because it's not, but it just didn't really pull me in with anything. I like how every shot was really long which obviously puts a long of weight on the acting which is great rather than have a take last two second for every line of dialog.
I also like the long drawn out parts that make it feel more like real life than a script. the problem is that we've already seen these techniques dozens of times before, especially if you like European movies.
this movie didn't really do anything new which makes it a bit forgettable. there are some scenes which could be disturbing or even offensive to the more conservative of us but I don't think that's much of a problem since the whole point of the movie is to show the process of something that is controversial, besides Palm D'Or winners are more the liberal man's cup of tea, but don't worry conservatives, you'll always have the peoples choice awards.
