Review of 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001) by Leesa M — 08 Feb 2012
"CRIME IS KING..".
This is the definitive action film, it's got more than your dose of of jack-hammer action and pure stylization. A seriously awesome film thats packed with some of the most adrenaline-injecting shootouts, some which are the coolest to ever grace the big screen. You will never look at Elvis Pressley in the same way again after this one. Its a pulse-pounding, heart-pumping, adrenaline-charged, no holds barred actioner that just doesnt let off the gas pedal for one single second. This one keeps on rolling, its got more clips, more bullets, more blood and more awesome than you could ever ask for. Ill tell you what ill be reluctant to visit another casino again after this one. Director Damian Lichtenstein really pumps up the hardcore action and mayhem in this intensely thrilling and spectacular heist film. Its funny as hell, absolutely packed with action, downright violent, supremely bloody, wickedly electrifying and also quite sexy all at the same time. 3000 Miles To Graceland is one of the most razor-sharp, unbeleiveably stylish, utterly sexy and well-crafted heist films that ive seen since Heat. Damian Lichtenstein and company did a wonderful job of of constructing this film, just about everything is top-notch and it completely exceeded my expectations in all aspects.
Its got an action cast for the ages. Kevin Costner stars alongside Kurt Russell and both are blast to watch go head to head throughout, but ultimately, its Costner who breathes the life into this film. Courtney Cox is sizzling hot throughout. Christian Slater is great throughout. Kevin Pollack is a real bad ass. David Arquette does a good job and deals in most of the films irreverent humor. Jon Lovitz makes an appearance, hell it even features a couple cameos from Howie Long.
