Review of 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001) by Guido S — 15 Aug 2013
Starts off with one of the worst CGI scenes in a movie ever with 2 battling scorpions that look like they are made out of metal, until they eventually end up transitioning horribly to the actual film. It starts off well with some former cons trying to rob a casino heist dressed as Elvis during an Elvis convention.
They get away, then tempers flair before eventually one shoots everybody and runs away. One wore a bulletproof vest and is looking for revenge mirroring the opening. Then the film transitions to a little kid following him around for near the rest of the runtime.
The 2 do meet, but by then, there is no tension or sense of urgency so it just feels half baked. The beginning 15 minutes and lat 15 minutes are good, but the other hour and a half is just boring and useless.
