Review of 3 Women (1977) by Maxwell S — 06 Jun 2012
Really great film. Altman really captured something new in a way here. This is his most surreal film and it really defines the "criterion" feel. If you already saw it, you probably got confused by the ending, which may have ruined your view of the film.
Although it didn't change my view (it may have made it better), I watched the commentary and Altman himself said that he really didn't know what he meant by it, the 3 women just became one by killing off the men and living "as one".
This is one of my all time favorites.
