Late 70s masterpiece from Altman that was inspired by and filmed/edited like a dream. The film has an almost non-existent plot and instead places you right into the fractured and intertwining minds of the female leads.
We view their transformations in one of the most direct yet abstract ways I have ever seen on film. The performances (particularly Duvall) are stunning. I find something new every time I watch this film and it simply becomes better and more sublime after repeated viewings.
