Review of 3 Generations (2016) by J F — 15 Jul 2017
It feels like someone said we want to do a story about generations of women, but make it for today's generation. We'll have 3 generations of women under the same roof, but - wait for it - they're gay and transgender! We're so different - there's so little done with gays and transgenders in today's media.
Oh, and get this, when the transgender character (Ramona who wants to be Ray) is (of course) bullied and punched in the eye, but can't find a steak to put on the black eye because they're vegetarians! So - get this - Ray puts poultry on the eye since there's no red meat in the house - hilarious! Now this trans teen wants to start hormones to become Ray, but the good-for-nothing biological dad with his lifetime of patriarchy influence refuses to sign a paper! Since we all know there's no legal remedy for teens to get out from under their parent's authority, she's stuck without a way to transition until she's 18.
Or is she?
